We love celebrities for their talent on the big screen, the stage, or in the boardroom—but what about when they’re off duty? Turns out, a surprising number of A-listers have secret (and seriously impressive) creative hobbies! From tattooing and sculpting to fire-breathing (yes, really), here are 10 celebrities who take creativity to the next level.

1. Margot Robbie – Tattoo artist

Margot Robbie is more than just an Oscar-nominated actress—she’s also an amateur tattoo artist! Back in 2016, she revealed on The Tonight Show that she had inked over 50 tattoos, even joking that she was “only getting worse.” What started as a birthday gift—a tattoo gun—turned into a fun (and slightly dangerous) pastime. Margot even tattooed her Suicide Squad castmates! Unfortunately, her tattooing days are behind her, as she admitted she was a little too reckless with that needle.

2. Steve Martin – Banjo virtuoso

Comedy legend Steve Martin isn’t just a master of making people laugh—he’s also a Grammy-winning banjo player! He picked up the instrument at 17, taught himself to play, and has been obsessed ever since. Over the years, he’s released multiple albums and even won several Grammy awards for his bluegrass music. Who knew one of Hollywood’s funniest men had such serious musical chops?

3. Christina Hendricks – Accordion enthusiast

Christina Hendricks stole the show on Mad Men, but did you know she’s also an accordion lover? When her character, Joan Harris, performed C’est Magnifique! in the series, Christina opted to play the accordion herself—because she’s actually a fan of the instrument! She’s called it “romantic” and “beautiful,” proving that being effortlessly cool extends beyond her acting skills.

4. Pierce Brosnan – Fire breather

James Bond can do it all—including breathe fire?! Pierce Brosnan picked up fire breathing as a teen while traveling with a theatre company in London. He got so good that he even performed the trick on TV multiple times. Unfortunately, his fire-breathing career came to a painful end in 1997 when an accident on Muppets Tonight left his mouth covered in blisters. Ouch.

5. Bill Gates – Bridge master & tennis fanatic

When he’s not changing the world through tech and philanthropy, Bill Gates enjoys an old-school pastime: bridge. He learned the game from his parents but really fell in love with it after playing with fellow billionaire Warren Buffett (more on him later!). He’s also a tennis enthusiast and once teamed up with Roger Federer for a charity match against John Isner and Mike McCready. Not bad for a guy known for software rather than sports!

6. Warren Buffett – Ukulele player & bridge addict

What do stocks and music have in common? According to Warren Buffett, a lot! The billionaire investor started playing the ukulele to impress his first wife—and ended up finding a lifelong passion. He’s even performed with Bon Jovi and Glenn Close at charity events! When he’s not strumming his uke, he’s playing bridge—so much so that he calls himself a “bridge addict.” He once joked he’d be fine going to jail as long as his cellmates were good players.

7. Richard Branson – Chess champion

Richard Branson may be a billionaire businessman, but he’s also a die-hard chess fan. He calls chess “the best game in the world” and has played thousands of times. He believes the game requires courage, tactics, and risk-taking—the same qualities that make a great entrepreneur.

8. Brad Pitt – Sculptor & pottery enthusiast

After his high-profile split from Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt found solace in a surprisingly wholesome hobby—pottery! He’s spent years working with clay, wood, and plaster, perfecting his sculpting skills. But the best part? He’s not alone.

9. Leonardo DiCaprio – Sculpting sidekick

Turns out, Leonardo DiCaprio isn’t just an art collector—he’s an artist, too! He and Brad Pitt reportedly spend hours sculpting together in Brad’s studio, creating pottery and working with different materials. The duo has even been spotted pulling all-nighters while snacking on sandwiches and perfecting their craft. Talk about an artistic bromance!

These celebrities prove that creativity goes far beyond their day jobs. Whether it’s playing the banjo, tattooing friends, or breathing fire (seriously, Pierce Brosnan?!), these stars have some of the coolest hobbies ever. Maybe it’s time to take a page from their book and pick up a new creative passion yourself!
